Where Children and parents can discuss their thinking, ideas and the world!
Hi Everyone, This blog is for you to get ideas, share ideas and comment on what we do in our classroom. I want to share an activity that is one of my favorite things to do. I love to go on nature walks. When I go on these walks, I observe the changes in nature. I use all my senses to enjoy the world around me. Here are pictures of my walk in the Tenafly Nature Center. www.tenaflynaturecenter.org/ Please try to take your child on a walk to the park, a nature center or around the block to observe the changes around you. Another nature close to River Edge. www.demarestnaturecenter.org/ I would love to hear from you and your child. Please write a comment with your child. Do not worry about writing in perfect English. This blog is about sharing ideas!

Mushroom on the tree looks like little sun. Trees in first picture are green and brown and little bit red. Tree in the last picture is all pink, and it tells us it is fall. Tree in the picture after mushroom fell down, probably during storm.

Thank you Mrs Schnee for sharing the beautiful pictures. Each picture is so lovely. We especially enjoyed the mushroom picture. It looks like an orange seashell. : ) The last picture shows vibrant pink and red leaves. Looking at all the trees made us want to build a tree house, climb inside and then look down at the other trees. How fun would that be? Thank you again.

Oh no, this tree fell down. Hope no one was around and got hurt when the tree fell. We noticed that the roots grew outward, not downward. Maybe that's why this tree fell? Some roots are thick, some are slim, hairy, long, short, etc. All different.

I am sorry that the tree fell down:( It must be because of the heavy winds.
