Where Children and parents can discuss their thinking, ideas and the world!
We are enjoying the snow but not the cold. This past week, we went outside to walk like Peter, the character in The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats. We walked like him, with our toes pointing out and out toes pointing in. There wasn't too much snow where we were so we could not sink our feet in in it like Peter did but I asked the children to find a place with more snow and try it with you. I hope you did. Please share if you went outside to do any of the things that Peter did:
Snow is a wonderful way to see the different states of matter. Matter is anything that has weight and takes up space like water which is a liquid, ice which is a solid and steam which is a gas.
Please ask your child to tell you about their observations about snow and matter. Here are some pictures to help them. Post your comments.
